Last Ditch Effort

Premeire Pro has all but quit on me.  My recent project is stuttering and is so delayed it is unworkable.  I have tried everything.  Its not a "user error", I have been using Pro for 5 years.  I honestly think the program on my laptop is corrupt.  I use proxies, I have cleared caches, cleaned up my hard drive, messed with audioinputs, my driver is up to date, I have plenty of RAM,etc.

When I open Pro it now is telling me that certain old projects were opened just a few days or mins ago and that is completely not true.

Is it possible to reinstall Adobe Pro without losing my recent project?  If not I have to cancel my subscription.

Save the project file and a couple of backups of it  (on a different disk).

Make sure you have the source media saved and backed up as well.

You can uninstall and reinstall Premiere Pro without affecting the project files and media, although you may need to relink the media.

You can use the Cleaner Tool, too:

If you are using a version of Premiere Pro that is still available, you can reinstall it, but if you are using an old version that is not available, you won't be able to reinstall the old version.

You may be able to open a newer version and import the old version project into it.

You may want to try resetting the preferences first:

You will not lose any project when reinstalling, but it wont hurt to make backups.

Might want to use  Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems
