Legacy title causes lag in Premiere Pro 2020

When I make a new legacy title, the preview starts stuttering and It's not easy to work on timeline without any lag that makes me hard to put some clips, images and any titles on it.

I don' know why but I can assure that this lag doesn't come from unfulfiled systematic requirement..

Cuz I have 3700x, 2080 graphic card, 32GB ram.

It happens only when legacy title has been generated.

It also doesn't after clearing legacy title.

Anyone has answer for this?

I can't find any solution on Internet.

" ... without losing the center placement ... "

Trying to figure that one out. I've done a number of graphics with font and font size changes in the EGP work, haven't noticed any centering change issue ... so I can't speak to where you're getting a problem.

I know that the EGP handles animation a bit differently if you're using a text box versus a text "line" for entry. In other words, when you drag/drop a bounding box for your text, compared to when you simply click on the program monitor and start typing without creating a 'box'.

Laplusyeon,

You may have added styling to the title which takes more horsepower, like a stroke or a drop shadow. Did you? If so, simply render the title in to out in the Sequence Menu. Then, you'll be back in business.

Yes I added those things but I cannot understand, are they so heavy effects that I cannot work without any lag?

Thx for reply

Any particular reason you need the old Legacy Titler? As two or three cycles back, it was changed to "Legacy" ... none of us are sure how much longer it will even be around. All the keyboard shortcuts that it had have been ported to the Essential Graphics panel controls as well. I haven't used it except to test a couple things in over a year.

But ... different people do things differently, so it's always interesting to hear about the differences.

I'm a video editor for a show whose TA is for Asians. In Taiwan, we use tons of style font effects. It is important to compare which style is the best for a particular part of the video and have quick access to it, whereas essential graphic only lets you save the style by words. In the end seeing styles and having options is crucial for people like us.
