Libraries not showing up

Explorer ,
Feb 07, 2024 Feb 07, 2024

Hello! I use libraries all the time with Adobe products, but I'm unable to access it in Premiere Pro. When I open the Libraries window, it's completely empty. If I click on the hamburger menu for Libraries and click on "Import Libraries," nothing happenings. Please help. Thank you!

I had library issues with Photoshop as well last week so I ended up calling Adobe support. They had me shut down the libraries in the task manager. Try deleting all of Creative Cloud files that are running under the task manager. That appears to have helped with Premiere as well. I've never been able to access libraries in premiere until now.

I know it wont help you, but I have exactly the same problem.  Libs are showing in all other Adobe Products but not in Premiere... since a few weeks...
And it baffles me that nobody has responded to your post... Well, Adobe...

Have you meanwhile found a solution ?

If this can help:

I clicked on Explore Libraries, I get redirected to Creative Cloud Desktop - > Libraries.

I click on any library, get redirected to its browser, then I click on Add to your Libraries.

I tried Adobe Color 2021 library for example and I can now access it from inside Premiere Pro Libraries.

Thanks for replying.
No this does not work for me because my Libraries Tab is completely empty. I am not able to click:
>> Explore Libraries << as you suggested.

@valentinor87468916,

Is your Libraries tab completely empty like @ck_rocks' screenshot? What version of PR are you in?

My library tab in 24.3 is fine.

I would first reset the workspace and then reset preferences.

Stan

Hello,

SomeTroubleshooting Steps:
Check Adobe Creative Cloud Sync:
Ensure Creative Cloud Sync is running and up-to-date. Open the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app to check for sync errors or ongoing sync activities.
Verify Internet Connection:
Ensure you have a stable internet connection. Libraries require internet access to sync and display content.
Restart Premiere Pro:
Close Premiere Pro and reopen it. Sometimes, restarting can resolve temporary glitches.
Reset Preferences:
Windows: Close Premiere Pro. Hold down Shift + Alt keys, then double-click the Premiere Pro shortcut. Release the keys when prompted to reset preferences.
Mac: Close Premiere Pro. Hold down Shift + Option keys, then double-click the Premiere Pro application. Release the keys when prompted to reset preferences.
Delete Preferences Manually (Alternative):
Close Premiere Pro.
Navigate to the Preferences folder:
Windows: %appdata%\Adobe\Premiere Pro\<version>\Profile-<username>
Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Premiere Pro/<version>/Profile-<username>
Delete the following files:
Adobe Premiere Pro Prefs
Adobe Common
Adobe Media Encoder
Adobe Encoder
Restart Premiere Pro.
Reset Workspace:
Open Premiere Pro.
Go to Window > Workspaces > Reset to Saved Layout or choose a different workspace layout (Editing, Color, etc.).
Customize the layout as needed.
Update Adobe Premiere Pro:
Ensure you're using the latest version of Premiere Pro. Updates often include bug fixes and improvements.
Clear Media Cache:
Go to Edit > Preferences > Media Cache and click on Clean to clear the cache.
Update Graphics Drivers:
Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date to avoid compatibility issues with Premiere Pro.
Check Adobe Account Permissions:
Verify that your Adobe account has the necessary permissions to access Libraries.
