Linear Gradient in Premiere pro

How do you create a simple linear gradient in Premiere Pro, just like for exposure in Lightroom? Please see the attached file that I am referring to.

I could not find a single tutorial on YouTube or anything on forums for such a simple and useful task.

I even tried to export it from Photoshop, but it did not work when I brought it in Premiere Pro.

Please help 😞

Add a rectangular from the EGP

Add a lumetri effect to your clip and then adjust then Exposure control.

Add a mask to the Lumetri effect in the Effects Control Panel and then increase the feather.
