Question

Link Media dialog window doesn't come up

I'm trying to relink some media via the link media option but every time I try and click the link media button Premiere freezes. It gives pinging sounds but no pop-up. Alt-tabbing doesn't show any new windows and nothing works in Premiere but my PC is fine to do other things. The only thing I can do is pres Esc and premiere will cancel what ever it is doing and i can brows through my project again.

I have let Premiere do its thing and nothing came from waiting half an hour. If I open the task manager there isn't any indication that my CPU or memory is being used by Premiere. I'm assuming it really isn't doing anything.

Has anyone have the same issue and if so have you found a way to fix this?

Version: 14.1.0 build 116

Hi there,

Sorry for your issue.

Could you check if this is working on a new project? You can try resetting the preferences of Premiere Pro to make the settings default and eliminate if it's an issue due to corrupt preferences: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro/faq-how-to-reset-trash-preferences-in-premiere-pro/td-p/8236158?page=1

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Nishu
