Question

Long Export Time

I make looped videos for uploading to YouTube. I ran into an issue with exporting taking 3-4 hours for a 10 hour video with only video and audio transitions; even after rendering In to Out it still takes 3-4 hours. I cut down video to 7 hours, it still took 3 hours to export, and cut another video down to 5 hours and it still took 2.5 hours to export, and both had been rendered beforehand. I used the default settings and even turn the bitrate down to about 5 to make the export faster, but nothing seems to work. Is there really a way to export faster? These are my CPU Specs for reference:

Processor AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor 3.59 GHz
Installed RAM 8.00 GB
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Pen and touch No pen or touch input is available for this display

For that processor, you should have at least 32 GB RAM installed.

Only 8 GB RAM may be at least part of your problem.

What are the hard drives (how many, what kind, what is on each, what capacity, and how full)?

What graphics card and driver number is installed?

If NVIDIA graphics, make sure to use the latest Studio Driver from NVIDIA (NOT the Game Driver).

Thanks for the advice. I originally bought this PC to run architectural design software, so it's completely stock. I haven't added anything to it, but I only have around 90gb of free space.

More information about the resolution of your videos may be helpful. Also does your computer have Mercury Engine Hardware enabled/available? Honestly considering your system specs the output time might not be as far out of line as you think.

I also tried to export a 1 hour video and even that was estimated to take 1.5 hours to complete, which seems rediculous.
