Losing still image quality after premiere pro export

Hey, so I'm a complete novice at premiere pro and for a project at school I had to put together an animatic. It is essentially a sequence of still images, opened in photoshop they look fine. In premiere pro I had to scale the image using clip>video options>Scale to frame size. I exported the media and the .mov file had the images losing significant quality. I know there is definitely something wrong I did or didn't do in the export settings and was wondering what I could do to maximise the quality of my export/still images. Many thanks

Correct answer Peru Bob

You can also try "Set to frame size" instead of "Scale to frame size."

Been running into the same issue recently - Are there settings in the preferences of where to modify the resolution of the image exported/imported when you click the 'camera button'?

A further suggestion ... create stills that are a direct multiplication of the frame-size of your sequence.

So ... a 1920x1080 sequence, make stills that are say 3840x2160 or perhaps 5760x3240, I wouldn't go larger. And definitely, as noted by Peru Bob, use "Set to frame-size" and not "Scale to ... ".

Thanks so much, "Set to frame size" instead of "Scale to frame size." ultimately worked . Sorry for the late feedback.

What are the dimensions of the still images, in pixels, the Sequence Settings used to edit, and the Export settings? A screen shot of Export Settings panel if often very helpful. Most likely, the stills are much smaller than the edit/export and they were "blown up" and that is where you lost the quality - you said you had to scale images up.

Thank you
