Low Bitrate 4k Footage from Sony A7SIII + Ninja V

It's possible I just don't understand the way ProRes and XAVC S 4K render smooth motion of fine details, but I've never noticed this low of quality when working with 4k footage -- or even 1080p for that matter. It looks like the bitrate is super low but the file details do not reflect that issue. Footage is scaled down to 50% to match the 1080 timeline.

Is there something I'm missing in my workflow? Attached a few screenshots to show the blocky look the footage has, the timeline settings, and the clip properties. TYIA!

Possibly identified the issue. Although, I'm not 100% certain, or even 50% certain... I recorded onto a V90 SD card with a max write rating of 250 MB/s. I'm assuming it isn't able to constantly record at 250, though. According to DP Review (https://www.dpreview.com/reviews/sony-a7s-iii-review/2), the bitrate of my recording is 280 MB/s. When viewing properties in Windows File Explorer, it lists the bitrate of the Sony files as 270-280 Mb/s, but it certainly doesn't look like it.
