Hi!

I'm having an issue occur in the latest version of Premiere Pro. Whenever I go and add the Lumetri Color and switch to the color workspace, Premiere crashes. First de preview tab goes black and almost immediately it crashes. I don't even get the Premiere crash window. The app just completely dies.

Are there any fixes?

Thanks!
Sebastian

Which GPU driver? And have you tried replacing that driver?

As Nvidia has had some real junky drivers over the last few months. So you may need to change or roll back the driver, and make sure you use only the Studio drivers, never the Game-ready drivers, which add all sorts of junk.

I have a similar problem on MacOS, with PP often crashing when entering Color workspace. It's also started crashing at other times but Color seems to cause it more often. Once I restart, I can enter the color workspace and keep working.

The symptoms are similar.

Hi santiagob,

Sorry about that. Can you try updating the AMD GPU's drivers? That may help. Let us know.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi Kevin!
I already updated the drivers but nothing happened.

I also tried to reinstall... same result.

Try 517.40 and let us know if that works, Sebastian.

I updated to the latest Studio version (528.49) and had no issues today. Do you think it will be better to roll back to the 517.40?

Thanks for the help!

Hey Sebastian,

Try the installed drivers you have and report back if you have more troubles. NVIDIA drivers may have stabilized, which is my hope. Thanks for letting us know!

Thanks,
Kevin

Indeed I was using the Game-Ready driver. I changed it to the Studio version, as you suggested, and today it run smoothly.

Thank you so much for the advice.
