LUTS only showing up when they're in my Technical folder

Is there a way to change the default folder for LUTs in Premiere Pro?  For some reason the LUTs I'm placing in my Creative folder don't show up... instead, I found them in my Technical folder, and those seem to be the only ones appearing in Lumetri Basic Correction.  Everything I'm reading is telling me LUTs should be installed in the Creative folder.  I also read an older post here on the forum recommending that they be placed in the Common folder, but those don't show up either for me in Premiere.

They have stuff in their Help files on LUT locations, with charts for two separate locations that can work. I recommend one because the folder tree seems simpler to me.

 

In Macs, it's the Package folder, in PCs, the Program folder.

 

Then the Adobe/Common/LUTs/ ... and now you need to use separate folders within this folder. And you may or may not need to create the following folders.

 

"Input" folder LUTs will appear in the new clip color management control's drop-down list. Found in right-clicking a clip in a bin, Modify/Intepret Footage, and going to the bottom CM settings. The "Input" slot there.

 

"Technical" folder LUTs will appear in the Lumetri panel's Basic tab Input dropdown list.

 

"Creative" folder LUTs will appear in the Lumetri panel's Creative tab drop-down list.

 

And users should NEVER EVER mess with or add to the folders that come with LUTs in them, the Program/Adobe/PremierePro/Lumetri/LUTs ... folders.

Thanks, but I'm a little confused.  In order to access the LUTs in all three features (clip color management, Basic and Creative) where am I putting them?  Am I copying the same LUTs and putting them in each folder?  In my opinion, this wasn't very well thought out by Adobe.  Why did they get rid of the "Common" folder feature?  Also, where do my LUTs go to be accessed when I'm in After Effects?

It's pretty simple actually. Each place in the app that uses LUTs ... the Input LUT slot of the new CM controls, the Basic tab, and the Creative tab ... need to have their own LUTs folder.

 

They only pull from the folder each bit is designed to look in.

 

So that's why we need the three folders inside the Common/LUTs folder.

 

And by putting them in the Program (Package for Mac)/Adobe/Common/LUTs folder location, all three apps will look there. So Premiere Pro, AfterEffects, and MediaEncoder will all see them from the one location.

I have three folders listed under LUTs: Creative, Legacy, and Technical.  There was no Common folder installed when Premiere upgraded to 2022.  I had one in earlier versions of Premiere, so I assumed Premiere no longer used it.  If I create one, put it in the LUT's folder and copy my LUTs into it, will they show up in all three area?

 

Also, sounds like you might be on a Mac?  I'm on a PC.
