Mac OS Sonoma Update

Updated my MacBook Pro to the new Sonoma update and now it’s running extremely slow. YouTube videos won’t play, audio files won’t play, and the camera/mic won’t work anymore. Browsers are running extremely slow to load any videos and audio from YouTube or Artlist.io

    That sounds like a Sonoma issue.

    Sonoma is not yet supported by Premiere Pro.

    I'm having issues with Premiere Pro running incredibly slowly, as though I'm using a computer from 10 years ago. I just updated to Sonoma 14.1.1, unaware of the issues others were having. I'm working on a Mac Studio M2 Max with updated specs.

    Adobe, any info on when the latest update to fix these issues will be released? Do I have to finish editing my film in Davinci or start using Avid? I'm on deadline, which is slowly becoming a disaster for me professionally.

      Hi @Motta100,

      I got your note. Sometimes rebooting the machine can help. Have you done that, as well? When standard troubleshooting doesn't work, it indicates that you may have an issue with your project file. Can you try creating a new project file and then importing the other project into the new one? That can sometimes fix corrupt project files. Let us know if it helps.

      I've managed to sort out some of the glitches I was experiencing. Resetting preferences helped, which strikes me as odd. But it did help. However, now I'm experiencing sudden audio playback problems in the timeline. Some clips are not playing audio, while others are within the same timeline. I am confounded. I've rebooted and checked the drive, the audio hardware, keyframes, muted tracks, you name it, none of it is the issue.

      Just an update: my Premiere Pro won't open and I have project deadlines due this week so I reaaaallllyyyy hope it gets fixed ASAP.
