'Make Subsequences' Naming Process

Hi,

Is there any way to specify an alternate default to the "Sub_01", "Sub_02", "Sub_03" suffixes that are appended to the names of the sub-clips produced by "Make Subsequence"?

Ideally I would like to have Premiere replace the default "Sub_01" with the time-stamp of the beginning of the sub-clip on the timeline.  If the sub-clip I wish to create using "Make Subsequence" starts at 00:00:15:06 on the timeline, instead of my sub-clip being named XYZ_Sub_01, it would be named XYZ_00:00:15:06.

To do this I have to position the playhead at the beginning of the sub-clip on the timeline, click the time window, copy the time code (using Ctrl-C), right-click the sub-clip in the project window, select "Rename", delete the "Sub_01" text, and paste in the time code (using Ctrl-V).

Is there any way to achieve this automatically without so many manual steps?  Perhaps a setting within Premiere or something in the SDK?

Thanks!

Hi Zac, Did you get any solutions? I know it's too late, eventhough just wanted to know. I am in need of that

    I believe Ann's right.

Just a note here, subclips and subsequences are not the same thing, so don't use those terms interchangeably.
