Making the video clips fill the whole screen

My apologies for the newbie question; I'm new to this software. I'm making a youtube 1080p (1920x1080) video. The video clips that I'm putting in this video are 1280x720. However, in the final version, I see the video clips don't fill the whole screen (there is a black layer around the clips. I've attached a picture of it.) How can I make the video clips to fill the whole screen?

If sequence size is 1920 X 1080: Right click on the clip in the timeline and choose Set to frame size or increase scale in the Effects Control Panel until it fits.
