Mask of Adjustment layer is not masking my clip

Hi guys

I am trying to mask a clip of mine with an adjustment layer, I don't know why, but it wont mask a thing. Before it was working fine, but suddenly it stoped masking. When I try to put a mask directly on the video it works, but that is not what I want. Maybe it's a simple problem, but I am having a difficult time here.

I was using the Premier pro CC 12, then I changed to the 13 and still nothing.

Someone please help me, I've searched everywhere in the internet and found nothing.

Try resetting the preferences:

FAQ: How to reset preferences in Premiere Pro?

If that doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces:

Reset a workspace

Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
    • Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.

from here:

https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/workspaces.html

If that doesn’t work ,try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site.

Didn't work, and it created another problem, the blue edges of the mask is not even appearing, it only appears when I check the stacked panel group but making this the video is not framed to see the hole video. Very frustrating!

I may be wrong, but I don't recall the mask of the adjustment layer masking the material below it. If I apply a mask to an adjustment layer on my system, the created mask constrains any adjustments I have made to within the mask shape - but does not mask the layer below it.

If I wanted to mask a layer with and external source, I would use the Track Matte effect.
