media browser showing unending redundant folders

I'm a new user and I was doing transcoding and proxies with files in media browser. I think i inadvertantly left ingest checked and now I seem to have a never ending set of copied subfolders and no idea how to resolve or remove them. When I click on reveal in explorer it goes to the one and only set of these files. Thank you for any insight ...
