I have a recurring problem with Media Encoder 14.0.1 (had the same problem with the previous version). It started a couple of months ago and is happening from time to time ever since.
When creating Proxies in Premiere proxy jobs are normally created in Media Encoder and then the encoding process starts normally. After every single one of the proxies processing, Media Encoder freezes (not responding) for like a couple of minutes, then it proceeds with the next proxy and so on and so on. Creating 200 proxies is now taking several hours rather than 30 minutes like it previously did.
Tried with CUDA, OpenCL, CPU only - no differences.
No other programs are open when creating proxies.
After updating from Encoder version 13 to 14 it got better for some time, but it's broken again.
My computer specs:
- Windows 10 Home 64-bit
- CPU: Intel i7-8750H @ 2.20 GHz
- RAM: 16 GB
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB
- SSD: Samsung 970 EVO 500 GB M.2
