MEDIA INGEST / MEDIA BROWSER Changes Clip Names

Is there anyway to stop clip names from changing when Media Browser is used for ingest?

 

When clips, in this case subclips, are dragged from other "library projects" on external archive drive A into edit projects on local drive B the names are changed to the original file names of the sources. What is weird is that the custom clips names actual appear correctly for a few seconds and then change 1 by 1. (maybe as media encoder moves them because i've seen this happen with proxies a few times before )

 

 

All we need to do is copy selected clips and their linked media from other projects, mostly camera card log projects, into a working project.  

 

Also. Is there anyway to get more bin headings in Media Browser? Oh like timecode and the stuff available in a project. There is a dialog box that suggests maybe there is a way.

I'm not at my editing computer now, but I think that there is a setting for that in either Preferences or Project Settings.
