Media Offline Issues

It would appear that, despite the file location not changing, a whole heap of media sssets for a project have gone offline. Atempts to relink them, replace them with the file or otherwise change them all hit a "importer has had a generic error" message. Any ideas what on earth is going on. THe files are in OneDrive, acceissble to me, and manipulatable. I've lost about 10 days work.

Move the files to a local drive and try again.

OneDrive is grand for back up but not for editing,

OneDrive and other file sync apps monitor all files in folders they control, and add bits into the file header metadata to track when they need to resync. 

So the files have metadata changes that Premiere and Resolve and such apps will see as a different file than the one they have listed in their internal databases. 

Hence a failure to link.
