Metadata appearing everywhere

I'm a teacher and one of my student computers started showing, what looks like metadata, over the top of all the footage. The data is showing up on all windows (Source Monitor, Program Monitor, Timeline and Project Panel). When I look at the files outside of PP, they look fine. And after export it's fine. We've tried creating new projects, but this appears on everything we make. I've looked through settings and looked online and we can't figure it out. Thank you for your help!!!

These are called DogEars (don't ask me why).

Hit ctrl+shift+F11 and they will disappear.
