I'm thinking of buying a Mirabox Capture Card for streaming Recording,USB3.0.   I need to import material from Tape (VCR)  to convert and edit.  Has anyone any experience of this external card and if so, can its output be captured into Premiere Pro?

Yes, the Mirabox capture card can be used to import material from a VCR to convert and edit in Premiere Pro. The Mirabox capture card has an HDMI input, which you can connect to the output of your VCR. The capture card will then convert the analog video signal from your VCR to a digital signal that can be captured by Premiere Pro.

You would use OBS Studio to record the video stream and then import the resulting clips into a Premiere Pro project.

Premiere Pro only captures via Firewire.

It will not be available after the 2023 version.
