Hi. I have placed 30fps footage on a 25fps timeline, as I have mostly 25fps clips. There is no noticable change in the clip, it looks just fine. Commonly taught practices such as interpretting footage and slowing down to fit FPS changes the appearance of the footage. But, simply dropping the 30fps clip on my timeline seems to be absolutely fine. What is the deal here?
Many times it looks good and is pefectly fine to do as you do. When you have a 25 fps timeline and drop 30 fps footage on it 5 frames from the 30 fps footage will be removed each second and for static footage it can be hard to even notice that but with footage with motion in it one start to notice it. If you have footage with a car moving on a street you can see that it stutters and if you pan the camera you can see it as well.
Most of the people that watch it wont notice it and think about it.
What is the deal here?
