[mixkit] How to use templates designed for 1080p in a 4K size?

Hi, I am using some nice transitions from Mixkit, however, all of the presets were made in 1080p size. When I use them in 4K or vertical sizes, they don't work well (please see the attachment)

Using "Scale to frame" or "Fit to frame" sometimes works, but sometimes it doesn't.

How to fix this?

Have you tried playing it after adjusting it?

I tested this out, and after applying Scale to Frame Size on both adjustment layers, I got a similar image to the one you posted above. However, upon playback, everything appeared to look correct.

it depends on the renderer settings used when the creator did the template,

sometimes switching renderers from project settings might work

    Yes, using Scale to Frame Size does work, but ONLY if I'm using Full resolution playback

    It was laggy, so I was testing it using 1/2 or 1/4 resolution, and it showed an error.

    I thought the 1/2 resolution only made it blurrier. How come it affected the effect? Is this a bug?

    Your preview isn't rendered in the screen recording. Please try rendering your preview. I have attached a screenshot to help with that.

    Hi,

    Sorry for the issue. Are these mogrt files or effect presets? If these are mogrt files, you'll have to open them in After Effects and re-adjust the composition size. If they are presets, you can imitate the effect using effects from the Effects Panel. I recommend checking the Video Effects > Distort folder. Several video transitions are made using the effects in this folder. I'll be happy to help you create the effect if you can share a preview recording (or a link).

    I agree with Paul's suggestion. Please try rendering your preview after scaling the adjustment layers. One way to do it would be to mark in and out points (I and O) and go to Sequence > Render in to out.
