Question

MOGRTS reset to default value when rendering in Media Encoder (when App Language mismatches)

  • Issue - When Premiere Pro and Media Encoder are set to different languages (e.g. English [PrPro] and German [ME]) and a sequence is send to render in Media Encoder, all Mogrts reset to their default values. For exemple: A text-box-mogrt set to show "hello world" in Premiere, renders as "text" in Media Encoder.
  • Steps to reproduce - Set Premiere Pro to English and Media Encoder to German.
  • Expected result - Correct rendering of mogrt
  • Actual result -  Mogrt renders as if no changes have been made to it.
  • Adobe Premiere Pro version - 25.1
  • Operating system - macos 15.4 (24E248)
  • Video format - h.264

Hi @jamieclarke & hi @MyerPj !
Thanks for your swift responses. Indeed, I'm in the middle of a big project, which will last for another 2 weeks, so updating is no option for me right now unfurtunately.

As for the question, of why I have the Apps set to different languages: This was not intentionally. My OS-language is set to German, but in Creative Cloud, I have set the default installing language to English. So Premiere, After Effects, etc. are all in English. But Media Encoder seems to be the only app, where the language is not set globally through Creative Cloud, but inside the App's preferences (And there it deaults to the OS-language).
Before this project I'm working at right now (and with that using MOGRTS), I never experienced any problems with this configuration. So I just noticed now.

Changing the language to English inside Media Encoder, fixed it for me.

Cheers

Hi @beobardo -   Thanks for submitting your bug report. We need a few more details to try to help with the issue.

As MyerPJ has said can you try version 25.2 and let us know if that helps your issue?

I'm curious why do you have your apps set to different languages?

Sorry for the frustration.

Premiere Pro 25.2 just released this week. If you could try that, that would be the first thing. (If you are in the middle of something and don't want to update yet... understood)
