I wish I could delete this post but I see a delete link.
Apparently PP wasn't looking in the right place for the font. I reinstalled the font and then I had duplicates. Then suddenly in PP the font appeared correctly.
Hopefully that helps someone else.
Hey, freakyrandy.
Thank you for posting! Now I'm glad I'm not the only one. As it turns out, I didn't have the font installed on my work and home systems. The font was an Adobe Font: Monte Stella Bold and Regular. Apparently, MOGRT's will work without the Font actually being installed. When Premiere 2025.0 changed the font, a Shut-Down worked for me. I have since installed the font and all is working well.
I have also discovered that if a Font was installed a "while ago", Premiere may not recognize it. I had this issue on my work machine where a Font needed to be installed again (like you did and probably to a more current version) for Premiere to be able to see it. I don't believe this behavior is a major update issue as it happened in version 2023. It almost seems that Fonts have an "expiration date?" Probably not, but that's the only thing I can think of.
I hope this gets looked into, but with everything else going on at Adobe, I can't imagine this being a priority unless there are like 1000 users having the same issue. I'll keep my eye on this thread for sure.
Thanks again and I hope everyone has a very happy, healthy holiday season.
Best,
Bob K.
