Mogurt Font Change from Premiere Ver 2024 to 2025

Hi, Folks.

After importing a 2024 project file into 2025, the font for the Mogurt changed.

The Mogurt doesn't allow access to the Font. I've requested of the Graphics Dept. to create a Mogurt that will.

The Mogurt was created with After Effects 2023. Brought into Premiere 2024 and the 2024 project was imported (not opened) into 2025.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Correct answer KeulerB

I wish I could delete this post but I see a delete link.

Apparently PP wasn't looking in the right place for the font. I reinstalled the font and then I had duplicates. Then suddenly in PP the font appeared correctly.

Hopefully that helps someone else.

Hey, freakyrandy.

Thank you for posting! Now I'm glad I'm not the only one. As it turns out, I didn't have the font installed on my work and home systems. The font was an Adobe Font: Monte Stella Bold and Regular. Apparently, MOGRT's will work without the Font actually being installed. When Premiere 2025.0 changed the font, a Shut-Down worked for me. I have since installed the font and all is working well.

I have also discovered that if a Font was installed a "while ago", Premiere may not recognize it. I had this issue on my work machine where a Font needed to be installed again (like you did and probably to a more current version) for Premiere to be able to see it. I don't believe this behavior is a major update issue as it happened in version 2023. It almost seems that Fonts have an "expiration date?" Probably not, but that's the only thing I can think of.

I hope this gets looked into, but with everything else going on at Adobe, I can't imagine this being a priority unless there are like 1000 users having the same issue. I'll keep my eye on this thread for sure.

Thanks again and I hope everyone has a very happy, healthy holiday season.

Best,

Bob K.

Hi @KeulerB,

Sorry you're running into issues. Can you tell me the following:

What OS you're using?
What font do you want to see? (links are helpful!)

Is that font from Adobe Fonts or on your system?

Is the font you are seeing the fallback font?

If you look in the Graphics Templates panel, does the mogrt without the font show a [T] symbol in the corner?

Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving to you as well!
Theresa

Hi, Theresa.

Thank you for the swift reply. I will be updating my post with one caveat.

The next day I booted my computer and launched Premiere 2025 and all was good with the MOGRT. I'm glad it "found" the font, but concerned as to why it couldn't find it in the first place.

I won't be able to tell you what the font is until next week as the Graphic Designer did not allow access to any attributes except for typing in the text. I've requested that access and won't get an updated MOGRT until Monday. Once I have the font info and if/when it should happen again, I'll reach out.

Thank you again and enjoy your holiday weekend.
