Most of us here are pros, we work against tight deadlines and chances are we won't be able to deliver on time and -most importantly won't be able to use the product we pay for-, only because we made the mistake to this update clueless of the fact that we would be missing our audio files. This is outrageous...

    "Most of us here are pros, we work against tight deadlines". If you were and would, you would never update the software in this process, would you? So it's you to blame not preparing, reading the release notes, etc. Take responsibility for your actions and never blame others for your faults. If you do, don't come here crying.

    I would be more direct, but it's not worth it. I've been in the video editing game for 25 years and have watched it go from 1" editing, to AVID, to Premiere Pro. I promise you I have been through it all and this isn't the first Adobe issue and I know it won't be the last. Premiere Pro was always my favorite and by today's standard, it holds up to all pro editing out there. So, I guess I just feel passionate about wanting to use it. If you see that as crying when those of us with passion share our disappointment (which is part of what this is all about so mistakes can be corrected), then that's OK too. Maybe you are right and I should just put my big boy pants on. But yet, I am passionate about wanting to help Adobe.

    In response to your feelings towards Adobe (which most of us share) I quoted this part from my useless chat (part of it mentioned in the above post) with Adobe's customer support rep.

    Aditya: I completely agree, People on the internet discuss & eventually start abusing everyone without knowing the actual thing, anyway, I understand your confusion, thanks, please share such a document with us via the email: dvasup@adobe.com

    This Dolby audio issue is very disappointing, the negative position which Adobe takes in response to our concerns has to be ended.


    Ashraf, sorry for the trouble. It sounds like the Adobe rep said, "people feel it's Adobe who did this on purpose, but unfortunately people fail to understand it's all due to Dolby changes."

    Haven't heard or seen anything about Minnetonka tools either.

    But, did you try Handbrake, which is completely free?
