Mov files drop to 12.50 fps after import to premiere pro

Hi All...

I have had no problem importing MOV files shot at 1920 x 1080, 50fps 23004kbps up until today, now when I import them they change to the following settings.

12.50fps 1920 x 1080 (1.0) yet the audio stays the same and the clip is clipped to match the audio length....

I have tried deleting the media cache and other things, but no joy... last thing I did was to uninstall premiere pro and then reinstall after restarting my PC, still does the same thing.

I'm getting really (insert expletives here) and need advice guys.

Thanks in advance,

Paul.

PaulW,

It appears that there may be an issue with interlaced footage. Add your voice to this bug report: version 12.1.1 turns my 60i footage into 14.99fps. when i go back to 12.0.1 it processes the footage correctly to 30fps.…

No other workaround other than to work in the previous version of the application.

Thanks,
Kevin

are you importing them to an old project that you opened on the new version of premiere ?

if so, try to manually delete all the 'video previews' (don't confuse this with cleaning media cache)

What operating system are you working on ? which build and which version ?

Nope, completely new project... also tried opening them in an old project but still the same. all my other formats open correctly.

working on the latest windows 10... system is perfectly capable of running and processing what i do.

footage opens correctly in windows, just not in premiere or media encoder (or other adobe products)... which i tried to use and convert to a different format, but no luck.

am struggling with this one... no idea at all.

No answer, but see this thread for similar issue:

Change the extension from mov to mpeg.

See if that will work.

Run the file through Media info and post outcome in treeview here on forumhttps://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo
