Hello reader!

I recently finished my newest video on Premiere Pro (My first video using Premiere Pro) and I'm ready to upload to YouTube. I exported the PP project file into an mp4, and started uploading to Youtube. Then, I see this: "You're video is not in a supported file format. For the full list of supported file formats, click here". I checked the link YouTube has provided, and mp4 was one of them (no surprise)

me at this point: '_'

So I tried using another browser. Didn't help.

Anyone know if I'm missing a step?

Don't choose the MP4 format, choose the H.264 Format.  It will also come out as an .mp4 file.

Thanks jason and jim. I'll try exporting in H.264 (I was doing H.265).

Ah, gotcha. Yeah, H.265 is basically TOO new of a codec and YouTube apparently doesn't support it (yet). But they likely will one day!

Sounds like you may have selected MP4 from the Format list which uses the old H.263 codec by default. Not sure YT supports that one anymore. Try H.264 from the Format list instead, and either use the "Match Source - High Bitrate" preset or the appropriate YouTube preset that matches your sequence resolution.
