MXF files coming in with crazy colors

Hi for some reason premiere is making my MXF files come in as highly saturated and contrasted. I have seen on other posts people with the same issue resoving this by going to modify and interpreting the footage and changing the color space like people suggest but when i go to this option that is greyed out for me (see pic). I'm using a macbook pro with a blackmagic EGPU with lates OS and updated PP. I tried opening the files in resolve and had no issues. I have been editing from the 2k proxies (which had no issue) so it really must be a premiere problem and not the footage - and i need to conform and send to post house tomorrow! been doing this for 4 hours so any help MUCH appreciated.

  1. Hey thank you - in the end it was because the song files apply an "effect" at source so you have to go to the source window and then deselect it - still haven't worked out how to stop this happening in AE though - thank you for your help

Have you done any updates to premiere before the problem appeared or are you using material from a different camera or source?  Worst case scenario, you could edit in premiere and then export an xml and import that in Resolve (not the ideal solution, but just trying to help you get thru your crisis..).    If you've been able to postpone your delivery, post back and someone here may be able to help with a workaround...

Hi bengutteridge,

We're sorry to hear about this. Let us know the source of the media files. Also, please share a screenshot of the preview that you are getting in Premiere Pro.

Thanks,

Sumeet
