My CS6 version doesn’t display a little triangle to swap between pen, rectangle and ellipse tools?

Hi all,

I’m trying to access the rectangle tool in my Premiere CS6 version. I understand that the cursor needs to hover over the pen tool icon, after pressing down and holding the rectangle and ellipse tools should display enabling either tool to be selected? Why haven’t I got a little triangle at the bottom right hand corner of the Pen tool icon enabling this process to be possible. I have opened my version of CS5.5 and the same problem arises?
