My Workspaces Don't Save Anymore

After updating to 12.1.1, some important settings in my workspaces no longer save.

I use two monitors and I like to keep my video playback on one screen and my timeline, tools, and panels on the other. I also like to close all of the top workspace tabs because they cause significant lag. Until this update, the positions on my screens would save with my project. Now every time I open Premiere, my window with my timeline and tools, and my undocked video preview window both open on my main monitor and I have to fix them every time. All of the workspace tabs also reappear and I have to close them all over again. "Save Changes to Workspace" no longer saves these options.

Please put this back!

Still having this problem, AnScathMarcach? Or did Neil's advice help you out at all?

Thanks,
Kevin

So far deleting my preferences folder hasn't helped, and I'm in the middle of a project that needs finished asap so I haven't had the time to go through the process of clean-reinstalling Premiere, so I'll get back to you on whether that works in a day or two.

There have been several people with this trouble with this build, including myself when it first came out. You can search the forum for "workspaces" to see the threads and posts with answers.

For me, it ended up taking uninstalling PrPro with the Adobe CC Cleaner Tool, rebooting, and re-installing the app a couple times before I got normal behavior. Others have been able to simply delete their preference files and get to work.

Here's the listing for the preference files from their help ...

User Preferences Location/Setting/Use: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/preferences.html

And here's the link to their user-voice feedback system. Go over there and search for workspace issues, add your comments and 'vote' on getting this attended to by the PrPro development team.
