Question

new version of Premiere Pro (as of April 2022) no longer has SOURCE tab in Export window

As per subject line.

This help page includes screenshots: https://helpx.adobe.com/media-encoder/using/export-settings-reference.html

I used to use this tab to crop before exporting.

Now, in order to do it, I have to calculate the sequence dimensions which is much more cumbersome.

I've traditionally used the crop feature in Source Export because I didn't want to have to stretch the content out in the sequence, thus compromising the qualty.

Now that the Source tab has been removed from Export, what's the best and easiest way to do this?

Same issue here. It's maddening. They just unilaterally removed this, and completely F'd up the entire export interface.

I'd really prefer they restore it and ask the community before the screw things up next time.

Obvious you did not read the previous posts.

The previous export settings are still available in AME.

That's what I've been using too, since someone pointed it out.

It's annoyingly harder to get to with several more clicks and load screens, but it works.

Send your timeline to AME and use the old fashioned export settings (including crop)

Thanks for this! I had the same issue with needing to crop on export. I didn't know what you meant by sending a timeline to media encoder but I realized you just meant the project lol Then I can click on the format or preset and it brings up the old export box that still has the source tab.
