Next/Previous Clip Shortcut causing Lag?
This is a new glitch that wasn't happening on the same file yesterday (yes, I saved and restarted computer/PP before asking this question). I'm working on dialogue stringout for an episodic, using the pancake editing method (pulling from selects in source monitor to add clips to the dialogue stringout in timeline). All clips have proxies (and proxy mode is enabled). Yesterday it went fast with no lagging at all. Today, every time I insert a clip from the source monitor and use the "next clip" keyboard shortcut to go to the right place for the next insert, I get the spinning wheel for about 5-10 seconds before it jumps the play head to the next clip. It's not the biggest lag, I know, but it's slowing down my work and making this stringout take longer than I'd prefer.
As far as I know, I've not changed anything, other than saving and closing/reopening PP and restarting the computer. If anything, it should have been happening yesterday because I had Safari open with a LOT of active tabs and a couple of other apps running. As opposed to today, when I've only got PP open. The spinning wheel doesn't happen when I'm jumping around in the timeline between clips or scrubbing. It only happens after I do an insert from the source monitor. Has anyone had this issue come up?
Thanks!
