No audio when using Focusrite Scarlett 2i2
I am just about to lose my mind here....
First of all, let me just say, I am NOT new to Premiere. Most seasoned editors come to me for advice with the software. But this bug I just encountered is about to make me lose my mind. I CAN'T GET ANY AUDIO TO PLAY IN PREMIERE WHEN USING MY FOCUSRITE SCARLETT 2i2!!! Everything else plays audio just fine. It's only Premiere. If I unplug the focusrite and route my audio through my mac speakers - no problem, audio plays just fine. The minute I plug in my Focusrite, I lose all audio inside Premiere. The meters are still moving up and down but no audio comes out. Yes, I have messed around with the audio hardware preferences for hours now. I tried every imaginable configuration. Nothing works.
The one thing I changed - I upgraded to Ventura 13.4.1 from Monterey 12.5 and updated Premiere Pro to the newest version - 23.5.
Has anyone else encountered this issue before? I couldn't find anything on the internet about it. I have restarted my computer a dozen times now. Audio plays fine in both Audition and After Effects. It's only Premiere that's not playing any audio.
Please help me! I'm about to check into a psychiatric emergency center. I've lost at least a decade of my life at this point. Adobe is the silent killer of our generation. They should be in jail!!
Please help...
