I've used the "replace with AE composition" on two clips, did a transition in AE - with sound.

Now back in PR, the sound isn't there..

Why is this and how do I fix it ?

Thanks!

how would I send it to PP then ?

Import the clips into AE, do the work, then Import that comp into PP.  (File>Dynamic Link...)

The real issue here is when you need to sync the visuals with sound. The sound needs to come into After Effects.

I've found a work-around. Just right-click on the composition in the project panel and select "new sequence from clip." and you'll find a new sequence with video and audio (which will also make a new clip in project panel). Then just drag audio and delete the new clip if you want to

My recommendation would be to do the audio work in PP.

the thing is, the sound is part of the plugins, transitions etc.

Would be 5x more work to do it separately in Premiere.

Isn't it supposed to work by default ?

In that case, try starting in AE with the necessary clips, instead of sending from PP.
