Opening the Captioning window in 2024 crashes the project

I am attempting to add subtitles to my videos in Adobe 2024. When I go to "windows" "workspace" then "captions and graphics" premiere just crashes itself and doesn't even give me a troubleshoot window upon reopening.

 

I am using an updated Windows OS

    do you have more than monitor attached to your computer?  If so, try disconnecting it.

      Does this happen 100% of the time for you with any project + media?
      What version and build of PrPro are you using?
      What version of Windows OS are you running? (The current public version of Pr is 24.2 x 085)
      Are there any specific steps you can share with me? For example, do you need to make a new project or import media first? What workspace are you on when you switch tot Captions and Graphics?
