Option of 'Save backup project to Creative Cloud' is grayed out

I saw on another post that they were getting rid of this option. I was really comforted by it (yes I know I can set the Autosave folder to Dropbox, but this was easier). Is it true? Or is there something wrong and there's some fix to get it un-grayed out?

I still have that option.

Make sure you are signed in and have an internet connection.

Don't save your autosave folder to dropbox, just save your project file (.proproj) to a folder on your computer that's automatically mirrored to dropbox.  Once it's setup, it's seamless (but like anything else, always a good idea to test and make sure it's working properly).

Nope, I just switched to auto-saving to my DropBox folder.

Here's the way I work, which is all about belts and suspenders and I strongly recommend this workflow.  My media is on an external drive (or a non startup internal drive if you're working on a computer that has multiple internal drives).  My autosave folder is on that drive...  My Premiere projects are saved on a folder on my boot drive which is automatically mirrored on dropbox.    So your projects are being saved in 3 places...    And my camera original is backed up in several places.  I make sure my clients have a drive with the media and I have it at least backed up on another drive...  On the mac, Carbon Copy cloner is a useful utility to update your backup (including  proxies, etc.). It allows you to automate this process...

If any of this doesn't make sense, please post back with any questions.  This is very basic stuff and an important part of Premiere (or any other edit system) workflow...
