[Moderator: This thread was originally titled "Premiere Pro 24.4 Program Monitor Scrolls". It's been updated to make this thread easier to find. We appreciate - and are listening to! - your feedback on scrolling / panning in the Program Monitor]

I just noted after the 24.4 update, My source & Program monitor up & down rollers/scrolls on the sides just vanished or missing. Not sure if this still part of the zoom in, zoom out or use of hand tool new updates which has cause this to be removed or a bug - but, kindly let me know if anyone has experienced this issue. The screengrab below.

I guess it's so tempting to show your outrage? Try the wrench menu.

Adobe touts mobile, phone and tablet editing...then has the audacity to tell us to move/zoom in the program monitor with a damn mouse wheel....also ignoring eveyone editing on a laptop.   Going back and forth from hand to cursor  tool is distracting and a time waster. So far my vote is its a horrible user interface and user experience. I guess two scrioll bars are too expensive. Thanks Adobe. (and no, the "beta" apps aren't a solution)

Just wanted to follow up and mention that there were times this weekend in my Project where I enabled the Hand Tool and still couldn't move the Program Monitor picture around without restarting Premiere (which 'fixed' the issue). It's frusturating to have to troubleshoot Premiere functionality across different updates when it was rock solid for years until someone decided to change it for style points (e.g. scroll/pan Program Monitor, dupe detection oddities, the tiny minimalistic FX badges).

Yes, you're right, sorry about that, it's in the Beta, I'm on 25.1, and 25.0, will be the release version, but I think this was in there, and will thus be in the next release.

Not showing up in the wrench menu for me. Using 24.6.1 on a Mac. Hope that means it's coming soon.

They are back, right? Look on the Wrench menu of the Program monitor:

This change - and lack of communication - has been incredibly frustrating! For me, the hand tool only works when Premiere is opened on my macbook's display. As soon as I move the window to an external monitor, it stops working. Moving it back to the built-in display doesn't help. I have to restart Premier to get the hand working again.

Please give us the scroll bars back!

We're about three weeks out from MAX, now, so I don't personally expect we'll get another 24.x build. The development at this point is probably all put into getting 25.x ready to 'ship'.

Oh thank God! Appreciate the update. I'll wait for final/stable release due to my reliance on Ae/Pr dynamic link stability, but that's fantastic to hear!

This has been 'solved,' at least in the the current Beta version, in that the Program Monitor wrench menu now has a "Show Scroll Bars" option that returns the panning functionality that was previously removed.  I expect that function will be in the next release in a couple weeks, but you can try it now in the public beta if desired.
