PAL Quicktime files captured in Premiere 23.5 crash Media Xpress

Bug: Blackmagic Media Xpress instantly crashes when attempting to play Quicktime 10bit uncompressed PAL 720x576 videos captured in Ventura Premiere 23.5 (or 22.5) on M2 Mac mini Pro.

There appears to be something wrong with the Quicktime files.

Version: Blackmagic Media Xpress 3.8.1, Adobe Premiere 2023 23.5 and 2022 22.5

Platform: OSX Ventura 13.4 using Rosetta mode, M2 Macmini Pro 32 GB Ram,  Ultrastudio 4K Mini, Desktop video 12.4.2.

Steps: Capture video in Premiere 23.5 via SDI from Ultrastudio 4K mini.  Capture Settings set to 625i50 PAL  Uncompressed 10-bit 4:2:2. Attempt to play resulting file in Media Xpress 3.8.1 on same macmini. Crash.

These same .movs also instantly crash Media Xpress 3.7  on older Imac running Catalina.

Try transcoding one of the Uncompressed 10-bit 4:2:2 clip to ProRes 422 HQ to see if that performs better in Blackmagic Media Express.

Yes, these are Uncompressed 10bit v210 quicktime .movs with PCM audio. I sent a problem file captured by Premiere to BMD and they say this is an Adobe issue.

seems like it's a blackmagic issue rather than a premiere problem.    What codec are the files?  Do you mean actually uncompressed?  You might try using prores 4444, or Animation and see if that helps.  Can't imagine there would be any difference in the quality

is a useful tool for determining the actual specs of the files
