Photos change once imported to premiere pro

I'm trying to put together a video which includes photos but when i import the photos to premiere pro the shadows are all lifted and the photo looks all messed up compared to what it looks like after exporting from lightroom. Im wondering if theres an automatic adjustment happening somewhere? Any help appreciated.

One solution is to export the images as jpeg files in the same color space as your timeline. I prefer to do this through Lightroom Classic CC. The color space options are located in the file settings section of the export window. When the submenu opens, click on the option listed as "other." A new window will pop open with a wide range of color profiles. Choose the color profile that matches your project timeline. Then export your files as jpegs. This process should solve the issue of both exposure & color shift.

Lightroom works in a very different color space than video. So you will need to change the color space of the clips to sRGB in the export from Lightroom. Nearly all non-HDR video uses the sRGB primaries and color space.

Sorry to hear about this. We would need more info to troubleshoot the issue properly. Let us know the format of the image file that you are importing & the source of the image file (processed through an app like Lightroom or straight out of camera).
