Hello,

I want to create a PIP (Picture in Picture) of a clip that I want to zoom in on and then crop out extra stuff. I understand basic PIP. What I need help with is taking the clip I want to have in the PIP be zoomed in from its original size and then cropped down. It must be possible, but I can't figure it. Any ideas?

Sarah

You place the PIP clip on a higher track.

Create the mask in the lower non-zoomed track for the PIP to show through.

Use Motion properties on the upper track to size and place the zoomed-in image in the mask of the track below.

    Thank you for your help.

I think I did that, but I can't seem to zoom the PIP clip without it

    filling the whole frame...

Maybe I don't understand how to "mask" the base clip.
