Using a macbookair, OS 14.7.1 with PremierPro CC 25.1.
It used to be that if I pressed the Return key, the playhead would return to the beginning of the track and hold. Now for some reason, the playhead returns to the beginning of the track and immediately begins playing automatically.
Is there a way to stop thi?s?I do not want auto-play.
Thank you.
Marc
I have never used Return for that, i have always used the Home key for that.
If you want to map it to another key, search for Go to Sequence-Clip Start in the Keyboard Shortcuts dialog and map it to the key you prefer. (It can not be mapped to the Return key here.)
The playhead does not return to the beginning of the track.

Go to Premiere Pro > Preferences > Timeline and un-check "At playback end, return to beginning when restarting playback".
Any difference?

Thank you Averdahl
Unfortunately, I have already tried un-checking "At playback end, return to beginning when restarting playback" and, even after closing and restarting PremierePro, the function has not changed. It still auto-plays after returning to the start.

I see the same thing here and it stops if i go to Premiere Pro > Preferences > Timeline and un-check Play after rendering previews.
Any difference now?
It still auto-plays after returning to the start.

I just tried that, however, when I un-check Play after rendering previews, tapping "Return" does nothing. The playhead does not return to the beginning of the track.

Somehow the Return key always worked for me but now it bounces into auto-play. However, thanks to your comment, I see that the Home key is another option and that works fine mor me so I will consider this solved.
Thank you.
