Playback issue with MOV files
Hi, so I'm running into an issue in premiere where my video seems to get corrupted everytime I import it into my timeline, and then pause it. Let me explain. I have a folder on an SSD that contains no corrupted files. If you were to open the files from the file explorer, you would see that the video has no hiccups or anything else. Keep in mind, these files are .MOV. So next, I import the video into the project bins in premiere. I watch the video before putting it in the timeline, and it is still showing without any hiccups. I then drag the video in the timeline, and start watching it within the timeline, this is where problems arise. As soon as I pause the video, the playback preview that it is paused on resets to the first frame in the clip, but the timeline itself doesn't move. So then I play it from where I left off (even though its on the first frame), and the video starts over again, from the first frame, but like halfway through the clip on the timeline. So then, essentially, the version of the clip in the timeline is now corrupted. Now, if i delete the clip, and go back to the project bin and preview it from there, that file is now corrupted as well. To reset this, I delete the adobe cache from the common file on appdata. Then the process starts all over. This issue does not arise with MP4 files (Imagine that). I really have to get this solved very soon, as I need to get this video done for a client for black friday. QuickTime is updated, along with all my drivers. My specs are an 8th gen i7, 16gb of ram, and a gtx 1070. I have never had this issue before, and I have edited MOV files on the exact same system. This problem has recently started arising. It seems like every other day I have an issue with MOV files not working with premiere, and at this point, as you can imagine, its getting rather annoying to deal with.
