Question

Playback issue

I have a good pc and premiere pro runs smoothly. But it takes ages to play the timeline after I press start. I tried multiple fixes and I finally found the solution. I set my audio input to none and audio output to my moniter. And it fixed! The video starts to play the second I press start. There is no 10-20 second delay anymore.
But I don't have speakers in my moniter or any port for audio output.
So I concluded that the lag is being caused by audio output in preferences.
I use Bluetooth headphones and I tried wired earphones but that still doesn't fix anything. I also tried different audio ms options.
Can someone please help me how can I fix this???

Does it work OK if you leave audio input set at none, but change the audio output to your desired device?

right now I'm downgrading and testing older versions of premiere pro hoping i can find the sweet spot where i don't face this same issue..

What happens if you set the latency to 500ms in the Audio Hardware preferences? Please also try reinstalling the most recent on-board audio drivers for your motherboard. I'm assuming you have a Windows system. If you're working on a macOS system, please let us know.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
