This has got to be the BASIC of tasks - yet Adobe makes it hard.
I open Premiere (Windows 11), select NEW PROJECT, and window opens where I can navigate my hard drive to select media (we've all seen it MANY times to say the least), BUT, in my DOWNLOADS folder, only ONE file shows up - a DNG file - (other folders behave normally) there are dozens of other files in the downloads folder that should appear, but they don't.
The filter is set to ALL SUPPORTED FILES.
Any idea what is going on?

I can't duplicate your issue. I'm also having trouble finding filters on the opening screen. Can you provide screen shots to help me try to duplicate? One could be where only one file shows up. Another could be of the Downloads folder in File Explorer. Do you have trouble adding media with the other methods?

Hi Bill, the filter icon is that funnel-looking thing just to the right of the up/down arrow (and it is set to "all supported files"). You can also see that just one DNG file is showing in the list, even though there are many other images and videos in that folder in all sorts of (supported) formats.
Yes I can add media other ways, and in fact, the only folder that I have the issue is the DOWNLOADS folder.

Still having the same issue - any ideas? Thanks so much.
P.S. No idea how the original post wound up in the Elements section.

I there no way to edit postings in these forums?
Anyway, Bill - you asked for two screen shots - the second being the actual downloads folder - rather not do that for privacy concerns, but suffice it to say that, well, it's the downloads folder with dozens of supported files of all types - stills, videos, etc.
