Pr will not export, just hanging using Ae dynamic link

Hi all. A Premiere sequence consisting of  approx 40 pieces of footage with title screens, a little zooming and key frame labelling via Ae dynamic link, hangs when exporting via Pr and even using Me. All footage is mp4 ingested and plays ok in the source panel when clipping 'in and out'.

Using a Windows 10 OS, Intel Xenon Silver 2,4GHz processor, 128Gb RAM, NVidia Quadro RTX 4000 graphics, Loads of storage. Tried versions 23.4, 23.5 & 23.6. All start the export and then hang after a short time (minutes). RAM goes a little wild up to about 40Gb on Ae when all three apps are open (Pr, Ae, Me). I have pre-rendered with all or most displaying green, sometimebits yellow. I invite suggestions

many thanks

Have you tried doing a full export of video files from Ae to replace the comps?

Can you explain further. I have a Pr sequence with most clips dynamic linked to Ae where I have completed the key framing effects. I have been using Pr for a couple of months so will need more detail if you would be so kind.

Dynamic links to Ae can be problematic for many of us. I avoid them when possible, and when I can't, I tend to 'finish' the work in Ae, export each comp as a video clip, and replace the comp on the sequence with that clip.

You're ... keyframing in Ae, then back to Pr? That's a complex bit of work. You might ask on the Ae forum how to best handle that.

I fully understand. Very useful and I am very grateful. I think that is the way forward for me. I will now start that process.

Still, it should not hang. Neil's suggestion is fine as a workaround, and it is what many users do. So @Mark Hatton can you get it to happen with just one or two small dynamically linked Ae comps and, if so, can you send me that project and the ae project(s) to go with it. So to be clear, I need one PrPro test project with the smallest number of linked Ae comps needed to repro the bug... and nothing else inside the Pr project. We need to eliminate as many variable as possible.

Hi, sorry as I am law enforcement, I can't send you anything worthwhile that would replicate the problem. I have given up on Dynamis Link. Its a shame as the priciple is great. I worked on a project (where the resulting 1 hr 15 mins of presentation footage was to be used at a criminal trial) for 3 weeks or so only to spend the next week rendering out all my Ae comps and placing the resulting files in the Pr sequence, overiding the originals on the timeline....if that makes sense.

Thanks anyway
