Premier has a bug with image use- help please!

See the video for more info, but when I import images either through drag and drop or through group importing they all appear to be present and accessible up until i drag them on to the master promo sequence, then no matter which image I dragged onto the work space, only one of the first 2 or three images will show up.

Help would be amazing, but looks like a bug to me.  

I am using 2017.0.2 release.

    This issue is because of JPG. Use the PNG format it will solve the problem. I was facing the same issue. After changing the formate it was solved. The same issue was happening with the after effect. I hope It will help you solve the problem. Do not forget to use the white background in the png. While you are making the images.

        Really really  wild suggestion!

        Try Disabling 'File Indexing'  (and delete caches)

        FWIW - I regularly compile a huge bunch of still photographs into multiple  mp4 "slide shows" for photographic exhibitions.

        These files come to me with random ( and very slack) file naming protocols...mixed png, jpg, psd.....(bloody arty still photographers!)...but I have never ever had the issue as per this thread.

        I import to bins via Media Browser> Select all...then sort in Bin.

        I have the same problem! I have been trying to finish two projects and it's impossible! What kind of sick joke is this? Unsatisfied with premiere.

        Open in PS and re-save.

          Experienced this yesterday in CC 2017!! This bug has plagued me on both Mac and PC. Tried to create an animatic from 70+ storyboards via a cross-platform collaboration...

          Images created on PC, Windows 10

               ----exported artboards as jpgs via Illustrator CC 2017

          Then imported jpgs to Premiere on MAC (Sierra)

          Most files appeared to be identical in the source and program monitors. The export even rendered the wrong images. What a mystery!

          The only fix we could find was to open in Photoshop and save them as different files. Thank god for droplets.

          Please fix adobe!

            I agree with Jeff ... I do this every once in a while on Win7 and now Win10, and never have an issue.

            I do follow the Best Practices though ... file-naming using only letters, numbers, underscores and dashes, and always importing through PrPro's Media browser so that PrPro is adding all the file's metadata into the project file database ... which it  doesn't always get through a drag/drop from Explorer.

            Can't promise this will fix it, but get rid of the "periods" in the filename. Best practice is to never use punctuation/special symbols in file names, like !@#$%^&*()

            Some of these are used by Windows. For example, the file extension normally follows the "." such as mypic.jpg

            By having "01. mypic.jpg" you could be confusing Windows and/or Adobe. Close Adobe. Rename .jpg files without the extra periods, then re-import and let us know how they work in Premiere then. I don't think it's a Premiere bug or others would've reported it.
