Premier Importing Audio only from .MOV

Hello ,

So I have updated my premier , and the old projects doesn't work anymore, says source is offline "yet its in the same old location" and when I try to re-locate or even re import them , only Audio is available from the videos

although the videos plays well on other programs "VLC" .

videos are shot on Canon 5D mark3 ,

Tried emptying the cash, tried reinstalling the program, tried emptying my computer .

all didn't work, I am using a MacBook .

Now, even in new project, with different files, the problem continues ... some files being imported as a Video and Audio others only Audio .

all shot in the same day, all shot on the same card, all shot on the same camera, and all are close in size.

Any help would be appreciated .

What codec are your .MOV files in? The new update of Adobe Premiere Pro CC no longer supports certain codecs of .MOV. I had a similar issue recently with recording .MOV screen recordings with Quicktime Player on my Mac Pro and Macbook -- the audio wouldn't come in, so I had to switch to a new screen recording software, Capto for Mac. As a workaround you can try transcoding the footage to another supported codec, like ProRes or DNxHD.
