Premier Pro cc2019 Version Caption Closed Caption Question

I'm using the Premier Pro cc2019 version, and I'd like to extract a captioning caption to an xml file, would it be possible? Or can we make a basic graphic subtitle of what we're working with with captioning subtitles?

The terms "caption" and "subtitle" can be confusing in Premiere Pro and are often used interchangably. I am referring to the Captioning Features (https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/working-with-captions.html), which I sometimes refer to as the Captioning Tool. You will see other types of captions and subtitles in PR, for example, Essential Graphic templates with the word caption or subtitle. In any event, I think you are also referring to captions and subtitles created with the Captioning Features. If not, that changes things!

The PR exported caption file with an .xml extension is an EBU Timed Text File. You can export as sidecar files many types of PR caption streams (Open Captions, Open Subtitles, Closed Captions 608, etc) by selecting the caption stream in the project panel, then File -> Export -> Caption. For xml, just select that type.

If you don't see the option that you want, what type of caption stream do you have, and how are you trying to export it?

Some of the side car exports are much like an xml file. What is your goal?

Only subtitles are exported to xml files.
