Premier Pro ruins audi when changing between devices

So I have the same version of premier pro installed on my home PC and work Mac. I have every project and file on an external storage, so I can change between devices whenever needed. I keep encountering a problem, which ruins my smooth work and makes impossible to continue editing:

When I change devices, Premier Pro makes a "shift" in the audio track. It puts everything 1 sec sooner then it should be. Every piece of audio and video is in it's place in the project, but it's like linking the wrong file from the background. It ruins the time coding inside the linked media, so I cant just put everything back to it's place. I have to make the file offline and import again and cut and sync and edit everything again to make it work. 

Did anyone encounter this error as well?

This is a known issue at this point, they're working on a fix. There are a few workarounds you can try in the meantime, they're mentioned in the link.
