Premiere 23.5.0 VERY SLOW

Hi all!
PremierePro is ABSURDLY slow, unfortunately. I am having issues with just a simple timeline with an HD file 23,97 frames original + a screenrecord quicktime file ( 20 min long ) Type: MPEG Movie File Size: 1,39 GB Image Size: 2992 x 1682 Frame Rate: 60,00. I've made ProRes LowProxy quicktime.

The timeline scrolling is slow, the response is slow, and audio waveforms are running also slow and appearing when they want.

Attached are my macbook pro specs. Not the newest machine, but still should work smoothly for this kind of simple project.

Do you think I should downgrade to previous Premiere Versions?

*Can't afford a new computer atm.

Spent days trying to sort this out. In the end went back to vsn 22 and it works fine. If you've already started a project in 23 it's quite easy to take it back. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_5kdeXEbdQ&t=180s
